I was cleaning out my dubia bin and found one dead female. She was intact and stuck a little so she must have died at least a day ago.
After throwing the body away I proceeded to clean the bin and saw this tiny tiny bug running. The bin is Black so I could clearly see it. I took a piece of tape and got it gently and put it under my handheld microscope and snapped a picture.

What the heck is this. I saw only a few of these and killed them all. They are as small as this period >.<

Heres the picture. It looks to have legs similar to a cricket so it can probably jump but it just craws around. And its clearly not a cricket as crickets are much larger when born.
This thing is microscopic! I could only get the bottom side as this thing is so tiny it would be impossible to get it any other way than using tape. A little blurry but its the best I could do. Also a size reference.

It has six legs, two pedipalps and two long antennaes. Nothing on the rear of the addomen sticking out. It has a set of pincers as a mouth from what I can see.

Heres another picture with different lighting. I can see the pincer image if I move the light around. Really amazing how tiny this thing is.

could be a thrip, but its back legs don't look big enough, I know they can jump pretty far for their size.

Pretty good bet it is a small Psocid. For sure not a thrips or mite of any kind.

There is no such thing as a thrip. Whether singular or plural, it's always thrips.

And I'm thinking Psocid as well

Thank you. The bin is in my garage and I have found condensation in the bin the last couple of days. I vacuumed all of the frass and gave it a good cleaning. I was worried of bringing an infestation to my tarantulas like mites and thats why I wanted to know what it was.
I now know its nothing to worry about.

Funny how many people have this same concern only to find the same observation in the end.
