I pulled into an old bankrupt development and started looking around and found this larvae. At first I was sure it was a beetle larvae. I still think it might be but after looking at it a little closer when I got home, I'm not totally sure. It doesn't move at all like Ground Beetle larvae I've seen. It moves very slow and plays dead when it's picked up. It has very thin, sharp mandibles. It moves so slow, I don't see how it could catch anything. Maybe it's a sit and wait type of hunter. Just don't know what it is, anybody want to take a guess. I've never seen one of these. It's about an inch long.

I'm wondering if it's a Pasimachus elongatus larvae, I can't find a larvae pic of one of those. I noticed it has a body part underneath that prob helps to lodge itself in, and crawl through holes:? .
