Frequently I have found this spider in my home in Tennessee. Anyone know what it is? It is a good 3 inches around and some are a little bigger than this one. I have searched and searched. Hope someone here can help!

That is a gorgeous Dolomedes tenebrosus you got there. It's one of the "Fishing Spiders", quite common in the Southeast.

And whats it supposed to catch in a house LOL {D
These readily eat insects, like most other spiders do, and will readily come inside houses to catch cockroaches and other household inverts.

I was joking LOL I knew that. Not as bulky as the fishing spiders up here though.
