Well, I saw this in the basment today, and cupped it immediately as ive never seen anything in my house like this before. It cant climb the smooth plastic of the cup, and began munching on a cricket immediately. It is now working on a web, going around the cup in a circle, and sticking its spinnerets up against the walls attaching web. The spider is a little over an inch in legspan.
What is this? ID please

Kinda looks like L. rabida to me.. But, it's a really dull and leggy one if that. OTOH, The stripes match most Dolomedes sp. I've seen in pictures.

Looks like a type of grass spider, an Agelenopsis species, they live long and do great in captivity.
