I have had a Chinese mantis for recently, before he died he was moving very very slowly and on his back. Now I have a ground mantis doing the same exact thing, I think their trying to molt but I’m not sure, I tried to give it some honey but it’s mouth is to small to see if it’s eating, I tried to stick it’s legs with a small amount of honey that can easily come off to the top of its enclosure, what else should or can I do? And why are my mantis doing this?

that SHOULD be grippy enough for them, but if its not working, then they need mesh. just sticks and things wont help either
You should never try to stick them to the cieling. it definitely will never work. You just need to have the right enclosure for them to molt successfully

were they eating well?

Thanks for the info, I don’t remember the Chinese mantis, but the ground mantis had eaten the day before.
