What enclosure do you use for your scorpions?

Hello! I was just wondering what enclosure you use for your scorpion(s).

Glass aquarium for safety, no front/side door that can be opened. Only access is from the top.

I use an Exo-Terra cage. I’ve used top opening glass aquariums in the past and had issues with escapees, especially with babies. I’ve had no issues with escapees since switching to the Exo-Terra... just need to make sure all the gaps are siliconed.

Your scorpions are able to climb up on the glass ?
I have several species, but none of them have any grip on glass surfaces.

not up the glass but up the silicone in the corners. It’s always been juvenile bark scorpions. They have zero issue climbing the silicone and then squeezing their way out through a small gap in the screen top. Larger scorps should be no problem though.

Possibilities are almost endless for good enclosure options. glass aquariums, plastic shoe box style containers, ect. I recommend top opening enclosures as mentioned above with good secure lids. I like acrylic tops when I use glass enclosures for more versatility.

I always kept my i2 and i3 scorplings in small plastic containers and i will keep doing that.
From now on i will be sure not to let the tiny ones roam in one of the aquariums !

Mostly Exo Terra mini and nano terrariums. My scorpions aren't a income source yet they are pets display pets. I will use plastic shoe boxes and critter keeper types too.

Yeah, mine can't climb up the glass either, or maybe just haven't tried hard enough.
