This is my first tarantula enclosure. I have a golden red rump tarantula inside. I think it turned out pretty good I had some inspiration from tarantula collective setup video :)

I think it's pretty good! How big is your T?
My main thought is that the water bowl is a little large in the enclosure so could probably switch it for a smaller one but good amount of substrate and hide depending how big your T is.

I would recommend either removing the skull or filling in the holes, especially the nose. A large booty can get stuck/rupture when trying to squeeze through it.

It looks pretty good to me! Good substrate depth, nice hide, plenty of water... I'm sure your T will like it just fine. As @Nitroxide pointed out, the size of your T is important - you wouldn't want to put a spiderling in an enclosure this size, for example.

Skulls are a waste
Use Latin names - no idea what you own
What size is the T? The hide could be too big.
The water bowl could be too tall.

the rest seems fine depends on what species you have????

I think you did a great job for a first enclosure, especially the fact you didn’t skimp on substrate.

to give more info on why others are saying to ditch the skull, or downsize water dish, is that, the former in particular, unnecessarily takes up a ton of floor space and serves no real purpose in doing so. I personally would do thhis.

And if you have a sling say under an inch that most people are sold, called slings, then this is too large. It can easily burrow down and stay burrowed for longer periods during the sling stage making feeding difficult which is not what you want for slings. Enclosure sizes need to grow along side the tarantula.

So what size is your tarantula, and the Genus species of it is very important as @viper69 pointed out!

I think the enclosure is fine unless you have a small sized tarantula. It can create feed response issues and slower growth.

i dont think the water bowl is too big, unless tarantula is super small.

it could impact humidity in enclosure though, if its super humid in your house. So if you notice mold of fungi, it can be the water or excess moisture in soil.

i don’t think the skull is an issue except the nose, as mentioned previously. It could cause injury. You could always glue some dry moss in it or something.

if you tarantula is a B albiceps, they do have extra slow growth. They also can use a bit of moisture in substrate, mostly in the lower levels of burrow.
