Hi all, I have some time on my hand and I wanted to write a post asking for future possibilities on what tarantulas to get next, preferably arboreal as I love them. Open to anything.

Caribena Versicolor or Avic Avic. Both are a beautiful species. They can be very skittish. I have both. One Avic Avic, she is all black and has pink little feet. She is very calm, if she senses me putting a water dish in she will just go and hide behind her webbed bark. Very lovely. And my 2nd one is the Versicolor. Just got her, so she is literally the size of a penny. Had her for a week and I already can see that she is getting used to me and she doesn’t bother to bolt if I feed her. I’m hoping it’s a her anyways. Still too early to tell lol

Get a Poecilotheria species if you’re comfortable with old world tarantulas. If now Psalmopoeus irminia is beautiful.

He/She/They appears to be less than year into the hobby or at least the board. If it is your first, C. versicolor or Avic Avic (morph of your choosing)

I got a P. Regalis as my first arboreal and it has been quite a pleasure to watch in its affinity for dirt curtains. Also they are relatively inexpensive and grow rapidly.

Nice AMEL in your Avatar, yours?
Unfortunately not, that was from a Repticon in Florida right before Covid hit. Now, I do have 2 Colombian boas and one is an albino female, but no, that Burmese is not mine. Just one of the best pics I had for an Avatar! Lol

My daughter has an AMEL Double dwarf Retic. Much easier to handle than that Burmese

Caribena versicolor is absolutely stunning, I'd say go for it. Or if your comfortable with something more skittish/fast, I'd say Psalmopoeus victori is also a good call.

P. cambridgei. They're stunning. Big, beautiful, always out, and always hungry. IMG_20211002_233922421~2.jpg

Or Tapinauchenius violaceus. Here's a photo of my mature male right after he molted. Sorry for the potato quality, I only have a crappy camera phone. Pictures don't really do him justice. He's delightfully fluffy with greenish and lavender setae. He's still going strong a year and a half after his last molt too! Both males and females are incredibly beautiful. Females are a deep, silky purple color. They're on the small side, but grow quickly and are great eaters. But be cautious because they're lightning fast!

Not alot to go on here like your level of experience for starters.

C. versicolor as they are just totally awesome and one of the most beautiful arboreals. Not to mention the price here in the U.S. has come down significantly not sure about Canada though.
