What a score! B auratum added

Well, I needed some feeders so I took a trip to my local shop. I walked back to the tarantula case and found a female B auratum for $75!! This is also where I purchased my female B smithi for $60 a while back. She's beautiful

I don't normally hold my T's but she needed some help so I used my fingers as a ramp. She couldn't climb down the walls without toppling over so I repositioned my hand.

Looks like they liked to feed her. Or she just loves to snack.

Thank you! She was pleasant. Kicked once when I moved the moss in the cup. But other than that, calm as a cucumber. I'm sure that plump caboose shes carrying made her indifferent

I'm shocked that little girl appears to be in such great health, normally it's the opposite. Man, makes me regret not getting a JF Albiceps YEARS ago for 60...oh well.

Hopefully your auratum will molt sooner than later and you'll be able to confirm via presence of spermathacae or no. It has happened that honest dealers made mistakes when sexing their Ts. If truly female, 75$ is indeed a steal !

For sure. There is a local breeder that my shop sources from which is really cool. Everything that comes in is either from her or a rescue. She's pretty legit. Looking at the way T's are priced, she's obviously in it for the love of T's. But, fingers crossed.
