While doing my nightly work out many moths are attracted to the porch lights. Among the usual suspects was one i havent seen for years...

...if you know what this is please let me know

doesnt seem to be bothered by being touched



...and thats all i care to bother the thing.



tried to get a side view to show the jagged edge pattern on the back but just couldnt do it.

That's a beauty

In summer they are plentiful in my area and all my arachnids love them. Provides a nice variation to their diet. They are very plump-bodied moths and make a substantial meal for many invertebrates. They are indeed beautiful moths in their own right as well.

...tiger moth eh? very cool.

plump? ill say, so i can feed these guys to my spiders?? they are hungery at the moment!

i see some moths around here that look like that but they are usually pink and green
it weird:confused:

nice tiger moth...clam the moth you are probably seeing is a regal moth
