Awesome Saturday. I wasn't going to go to the monthly reptile show in my area but at the last minute I decided to go.

I swapped a Latrodectus variolus I had caught, for 2 Holothele sp. "Norte De Santander" slings from John Apple here on arachnoboards. John is one cool cat. I could talk "Ts" with him for hours.

As some of you may have read in a previous post, I was mistakenly sold a male T instead of a female. Well the seller promised to square everything out, but I didn't bring the T up to the show to trade. John (Tangled WWWeb) insisted that I take a B. albopilosum sling for the mishap, even though I didn't have the trader T. Thank you John  ,and I will PM you with details of when I will be heading out to Gibraltor.

So I left the show with 3 new slings but kinda empty-hearted. I have been thinking about an A. purpurea for quite some time know, and did not see one at the show. I have seen them online from prices ranging from 35$ up to 75$ for 1/2" to 1" slings, on top of the shipping charges.

I contacted miarachnids aka Bryan because I remembered him having a posting of sling A. purpurea for sale. After some small chit-chat on the phone, we decided to meet somewhere for the sale. Well you know what? I literally drove 5 miles to meet Bryan{D . He lives a stones throw away from me. No shipping charges, cha-ching. I purchased the avic and a C. fasciatum sling and got a freebie. Sa-wheat.

So that was my awesome day. 48 more legs {D , thanks to these 3 fellows mentioned above. I plan on doing more business with all of them. It seems the great :)rolleyes:) state of MI. has a lot of arachnolovers in it.

Side note: I didn't know the Holothele sp. slings I got from John are super-sprinters. Wow. They are fast. I had an escapee on the loose as soon as I opened the lid.

Yet another side note
: My friends and family, including my gf of 8 years(since I was 15:clap: ) thinks I may have really lost my marbles this time. I get a lot of ,"why do you want all those spiders in your house"? Nah, the gf is actually quite tolerable of the spiders(Ts). I even got her to hold Rosie,(granted she had been drinking a little)this one time.
