Can anyone explain what’s going on here? She’s been in this corner for about a week and a half. I put her in a new enclosure with new soil (BioDude Terra Aranea) and she seems to be avoiding the soil like a kid playing “The Floor is Lava”. The only thing I can think of besides her being in a new enclosure with new soil is maybe the soil is too moist?

No it's because the gap is small 😊 she feels safe in that dark corner where she can touch the floor and ceiling in one place, give her more time to settle and try not to worry 😊

Needs Time to get used to the New Cell.
A photo showing entire layout of the enclosure woul be helpful as well.
Any how, keep her in a quiet spot, as undisturbed as possible.
Best Wishes to you both.

If shes there all the time not moving its normal.

If shes there most of the time, but moving around, its normal.

Adapting to sub. Adapting to nee settings.

Terrestrail tarantula kept in mainstream specs.

Keep a corner moist. The rest dry.

Give it a chance to settle in. If it never does, its missing something.
