Just got back from this years British Tarantula Society Show where I bought 1 male and 2 female Wellington Tree Wetas (Hemideina crassidens) I've got a fair list of what they'll eat anyone care to add to it.

Willow and Plantain leaves
apples
carrot
cherries
cabbage
cuecumber
mealworms
crickets
locusts
small crickets
dog and cat biscuits.

Anyone interested here's a link to the dealer’s site
http://www.exotic-pets.co.uk/wellington-tree-weta.html
No photos on the site if anyone wants I'll try and take some when I move them from their tubs into their more permanent home.

I hope that the hobby gets big enough here in the states' so that one day we can get cool stuff like those, too! {D

Those are monster crickets with a mean face. I saw a bunch of bats gangbanging one until it gave up lol, pretty strong. This was on some show by the way.

I saw those at the BTS as well, i was quite tempted but at the time i wasn't sure how well they do in captivity. Apparently they do quite well, there is a very good article about keeping wetas here

Cheers,

Wetas

HEllo,
Here in the states you can find Coprosma repens (Mirrow Plant) wich is a good food plant for Hemideina crassidens.

Also dog food is good for them.

Cheers for the link Dan.
Thanks for the info on the plant FT, doing a quick Google the pics online look very similar to the leaves that came in the tubs with the wetas.
