Well the P. fasciata sling I bought from Paul at exopets.com is on it's back. But the weird thing is she has this muddy type stuff on her mouth....I know she's alive because I see a little movement from time to time and I know she doesnt have like mud clotting up onto her because I mist the jar she is in like every 2 days.
Any idea on what this could be and what I should do?

I know of crud on the mouth from two causes.

The first is emerging nematodes from a systemic infestation (see the sticky on 'Research Instititutes) for further info. It's also usually accompanied by a "butt plug" of feces and nematodes. This, unfortunately, is always fatal since no effective treatment has been found.

The second appears to be a yeast infection. Cleaning the mouth area with a soft brush and rinsing with water periodically seems to clear it up.

I've dealt with both. Unfortunately, if it's not moulting, the 'on the back' part of your description makes me suspect the former.

Ah I see...well he's flipped himself back over and is in a death curl now. I don't think this little guy is gonna make it.

What a bummer:(

Contact the person you bought it from.
Usually if it has not been too long you may be able
to get the T replaced.

Sorry to hear that. I would contact Paul and see if he will replace it or atleast give you a credit for it. I am sure he probably didn't know it was sick either.

Well I cleaned up his mouth area...which was very hard because he's only 1/2 in. I have him in a deli cup with the humidity pretty high. Hopefully he'll come out of that death curl.

Good luck, but my experience with slings is once they go south, they stay there. I recently found one of my new N. carapoensis slings in the death curl and went for the ICU setup.

It came out of the death curl... and died all stretched out for me :)
