ok so our monitor is rubbing its nose on one pain of glass in its aquarium its a 100 gallon octogon style, its really big and the monitor is only 1 and half ft long.it has LOTS of room, and i do know about all the requirements of keeping them, he should hopefully reach 6-7 ft. anyways, he rubs it only on one pain out of 8 and he is slowly getting a mark on him. if i rotate the aquarium he will still do it to the same pain of glass. i dont understand, any1??  :wall:

Sounds like monitor in small tank syndrom. What are they demensions of the tank? It should atleast be in a 4' long tank right now. And a whole room in the near future.

Another option... give him a place to hide.

He wants out of that cage. Something is telling him that is the direction to escape. Give him a large variety of hides. A happy monitor is an invisible one.
