weird beetle? need ID and info

So I've been noticing these critters in my room for about a year now. Normally I just see one crawling across the computer screen or something, I don't see them very often at all. Well, I just found half a dozen of these critters hanging out near my daddy long leg enclosure while I was trying to snap some pics of them. They are small, not much bigger than 1/8 of an inch.

Any clue what these are? Why are they in my room? I haven't noticed them anywhere else in the house. i assume they are pretty harmless, just annoying little buggers.

Do you have any food for feeders? They may have come from there. I had them for several years until I found out they were coming from a box of old oat stuff and there were a lot of larvae making cacoons.

I've got a bit of chicken feed in here for my hissers... not a lot, but its on the same shelf where I saw the bugs just now. I just got the hissers a few weeks ago, though.
Oh, duh! Last time I saw these guys in larger quantities, was when I had my chicks brooding in my room... It must be the chicken feed! I guess I'll stick with dog food for the hissers, and keep the chicken feed outside with the chickens...

I keep all my dry feeder food(chicken feed, seed mix, oat bran, cat food etc) in the freezer and I dont have any bug trouble.
