I am looking for suggestions for the domain name of our Classroom Invert Zoo website, please. My students are not being creative as it is the last week of school and they flat don't care about anything but summer. I will give the list of name ideas to my booster club (who fundraises to pay for feeding the zoo and buying other supplies for it as well) and they will pick their favorite name. On the site I will acknowledge the creator of the name with many many thanks. I have come up with a few ideas, but they are all pretty boring and I would like to have a catchy name if possible. Well, thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I don't know, I kind of like "TheInvertZoo.com"

When you narrow it down, you can plug them in at instantdomainsearch.com to see if the domain name is already taken.

BTW, I plugged in theinvertzoo.com and it is available at the time of this post!

A little advice: you may already be aware of this, but the shorter the name, the better. It's proven that people will not come back to your site if they have to type in a long url!

I really like theinvertzoo.com

It dosent need someone to explain what it is about and can be easily remembered with your class.

Great ideas!

I want to thank all of you who are helping us choose our domain name. The kids have picked a few faves, but the most popular one according to you all here so far is "theinvertzoo.com" I will keep all of them in mind. I will close off the names suggestions next Monday (7th June) so I can get the site set up! Thanks again for all your great ideas! Keep 'em coming (either here or PM)

Hello

First of all I would like to agree that the name "TheInvertZoo.com" is a good choice of name because it actually cover all the invertebrate.

However, like you already know invertebrate divided into section such as the protozoa, annelids, echinoderms, mollusks and arthropods etc.

So my POV is that it will actually help if you narrow the scope down into a particular section if you wish to cover that specific division alone, thus in the future it would really help people to search for any info regarding to that.

eg:

"arthopoz.com" - a short hand combination for arthopods and zoo, so upon reading and relating to that topic, I think that a catchy name would help.

note: I checked and it is still available in instantdomainsearch.com

But of course a simple name yet easy to understand one like "TheInvertZoo.com" is also a fine preference.

Just widening the option,
Aros.
