Hey, just wanted to show you guys pictures of my male Chinese water dragon, Godzilla. He was a rescue from being abandoned in an apartment and had savere calcium defficiency - lost a lot of fingers after we got him. He's been with us for about 3 years now. Loves mealworms, any beetle grubs, and waxworms. Sometimes garden snails. He's gotten too lazy to bother with crickets. X-D

Water Dragons all the way! My all time favorite lizards, reptiles even. My first ever real pet was a beautiful female named Sheru. After she passed I bought two babies, but had to give one up as they both turned out to be males. The one I kept is now a stunning example of a male water dragon. :D

My son has a baby water dragon and they are great pets and very sociable.

I think it was about 6-8 years. I used this site for most of my water dragon references. That's how we knew he was low on calcium.

I heard they'll eat little feeder goldfish if you leave one flopping around. Never have tried pinkies or goldies yet. One time he did eat some cornmeal off a tamale. My mom was real surprised about that. Only thing is you got to keep their water real clean. They have a habit of going in the bath. :embarrassed:

Man..

I'd ove to get a basilisk. Only problem is I've read they need a lot of space and have a tendency to run into the walls of the terrarium. :-(

Feel Really Low Right Now...

I just got a call from my friend that took in Godzilla a few months ago (after I couldn't get the large cage he really needed I decided he'd be better off with my friend who had beardies). He had to put Godzilla down. He was getting so sick he couldn't right himself up. RIP big guy. :(

I would probably have a water dragon if reptiles weren't illegal to keep where I live. You need a special permit which is really hard to get, and you need to be allergic to pretty much every other animal to even have a chance to get it :wall:

Bearded dragon because they are not mindless lizards that will mistakenly bite their owners. Also they have different colors morphs and have more personality. they can be hand fed and will approach you when they are hungry (I keep my favs BD in my room and they go to sleep at my tortoise cage at night). Will watch TV with you just like a dog.

here is one the videos of my dragons
