Water crystals for my roaches

Good day. Are the store-bought miracle gro water crystals ( from true value for example ) safe for B Lateralis use or are there special ones that i need to get? Thank you!

Personally I think "water gels" are just a rip off... Just search for "water balls plant" on ebay and use these. Pick one that says it's not toxic.

I use the Miracle Gro Water Storing Crystals...haven't had any problems

I just offer damp veggies/fruits. No other water source. And my colony tends to have some condensation anyway in spite of my ventilation attempts (holes in lid -- can't do much cross-venting or I'd have escapees galore. lol
