Hi,

Where are you from? Location can help a grreat deal in identification. Its looks to me to be some sort of huntsman.

from "china" which looks VERY like yours walton ;)

they are very nice..

well not sure about the species
but the additional info is:
some hobbyists in Taiwan assume that Heteropoda venatoria in Orchid Island has affect the population of Charon grayi, a kind of ambypygids
Heteropoda venatoria is the most wide spread crab spiders due to human immigration around the world. There were'nt many strong competitors for C.grayi in Orchid Island, but since Heteropoda venatoria made their way there, C.grayi has hard time living on the island. Heteropoda venatoria is more efficient on catching preys on smooth surface, and more dry resistant, which Charons can't.
There were plenty of Charon in the abondoned houses on the island b4, but it's more like the kingdom of Heteropoda venatoria now.
plus, the light we are using attrcts more bugs, mainly moths to our "smooth-surfaced" buildings, where Charons can't live.
It is not easy to find Charons now, only in more remote area on the island
all of the above are just personal assumptions

ha i was searching for the older id threads and came across this one i found while doing this before...also i was at the same place i found the last spider.

anyone have any idea what this is? i took this photo in sebring, florida. its in central florida.
