Ok, I never saw a thread about this, so I might as well post it since I'm thinking about it.
Terrarium moss, while aesthetically pleasing, is bad news if you ever get mites. It makes them very hard to detect, as they will hide in it, and you will not notice them until it is far too late.
Anyone considering it, you have been warned...
