Hola everyone. I would like to start raising roaches to feed my new T's after they get big enough. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the best roaches to start raising, where to get them, and how to do so to raise the healthiest specimens. ty for any and all help

I personally have fallen in love with B. lateralis (Turkistan Roach). They only get as big as crickets when full grown, you can feed your slings the babies, they are non-climbers, they don't burrow into the substrate when you put them into the T's cage and they are quick growing. They also don't smell. On the negative side they are very, very fast. I have other species of roaches (feeders & showers) but these are my overall favorite feeder species for versatility.

I really like the lateralis also. They are fast but also very fast breeding. They also seem to have a very thin exoskeleton. My geckos love them:} .

the only disadvandage of these, is that they will attack any molting inverts if they are left inside the terrarium.

B.Dubia on the other side wont do this but they tend to burrow.
