vinnegaroon substrate (I need to get his permenent setup fast!)
I picked up my third arachnid yesterday. I put my new vinnegaroon into a temporary setup, with a hide and a peat/sand substrate. For his permenant setup, I dont want to use organic material, It get him and his water all dirty. Plus I hate dealing with soil and peat.
Could I use vermiculite? He should be able to scrape out a burrow in that right? Iv'e heard of fine gravel too, but I'm not sure about that.. The place I got him from had them on chunky sand, with lots of rocks and driftwood to hide with. Would that be ok? Id prefer sand or gravel over vermiculite.
Humidy isn't an issue, because I can customize the airholes in the rubbermaid container to get the right amount from the water dish.
any advice?
