Speedy, my little versicolor, molted today
- 3rd time under my care ... and according to my calculations, he was 9 days behind schedule. I don't know how to account for that, and maybe there IS no accounting for it. So many factors could be involved here - I just don't know, I'm still too much of a newbie ... but dang, he had me on pins and needles for the last couple of weeks, and I'm so relieved that he finally changed his clothes - what with all the stuff I've been reading about versi mortality in these posts, I feel, perhaps naively, that every molt takes Speedy just a little bit farther out the the gravitational pull of S.A.D.S ....
