my velvet worm threads keep getting moved :(

PERIPATUS , a genus of animals belonging to the air-breathing division of the phylum Arthropoda. It differs, however, from all other Arthropoda in such important respects that a special class, equivalent in rank to the old-established Arthropod classes, had been created for its sole occupancy. This class has been named the Prototracheata or Onychophora (see ARTHROPODA), and may be most appropriately placed in the system in the
neighbourhood of the Myriapoda.

i thought it was appropriatley placed in the myriapod forum :)

which i think would be crazy if it is actually in the myriapods!

ill send ya one, if my babies get bigger! since your taking care of me.

i forgot to mention welcome to the forums! if your a kennyG fan, me too, love the smooth jazz and big band
regarding sticky glue:Yes, they do fire sticky glue, it spits out in spirals and traps its prey, when they are scared too they do it, i accidently made one do it, then i touched the glue and rubbed it with my index finger and thumb, its like elmers glue, has consistancey and stickyness... they do see too! they have beady lil eyes, ill post a pic but im sure it will be moved.
isnt it weird, its a worm with legs, but not really a worm
i posted this photo in the insect/other inverts forum, but i see people in myriapods that have much more interest in these species, such as myself so i got a colony of them.

Ahhh, but in the meantime, they are NOT in the Myriapoda so therefore all threads will continue to be moved into the "Insects & Other Invertebrates" forum. If they are put in Myriapoda, then let us know and we will move them back. :)
