Velvet ants are awesome! I saw a blue one in Costa Rica, really wish I had pictures

Would love to have a mixed tank of these with blue death feigning beetles, but too worried about my 2 year old or 8 month old getting into them somehow.

Yikes! I'd be afraid of one of those getting in contact with myself! Velvet ants are also known as 'cow killers', or so I've heard. I thought they were ants until I learned they are really a type of wasp with a sting so painful, it can 'supposedly' kill a cow or drive one to madness.
