Vacation/scorpion hunt in Utah.

I will be in Utah in the first week of June and am wondering where would be a good place to go looking for inverts.

I will be staying in the Grantsville area, but will be able to travel.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

They are doing well. Getting fat. I just need to get a male so i can start breeding them.

ANYWHERE. they are everywhere, and all sorts of species to boot. seriously. just go out into a semi-wilderness area and click on the blacklight.

Rob - the problem with getting wild caught, from a pet store, is that there is no guarantee you will get a mix of males and females. The supplier ships what is ordered from what they have in stock and the store sells what they get.

Widowman - Awesome. I know I will be going to goblin valley and possibly monument valley( wont be collecting there though) so i guess anywhere along the trip there will be as good as anyplace to look around.

Hey bayushi, do you have to pay a fee to bring them back over the border?

Chrome - well seeing as I am in Washington state... no fee. Although I did used to live in BC and when I moved there from Florida, I had to get papers from USFW to take my emps across the border. It's been such a long time though i am not sure exactly what i paid, if anything..

How much were the papers be to bring across your emps? is it amount based or does it cover everything you have?

I dont remember all the details. it was like 14 years ago when I moved. I also think I got thru customs with little to no problems cus I crossed the border at like 4 in the morning and the border guards were really lax.
