Is it good to provide light for the the scorpions or tarantulas during night time? They are nocturnal but is there any kind of light that can be use for a long period of time without doing damage to the pets? Mainly for the observation purpose. UVA maybe?

Thank you.

Nope.

You already know that they are nocturnal, then respect them as they are. To observe, use blacklight flashlight for scorpions.

Sorry I don't know much about the difference between UVA and blacklight is blacklight the one with LED lightbulb and if so does it affect the scorpions?

YES! For Ts red light is fine! So is a moonlight bulb, which often is blue

The ultra violet lights are.not good for your eyes. Use them to observe, but I wouldnt have them turned on half the day in your living room. For both you and the animal.

As viper noted, I use red lights too sometimes for observing. otherwise they just get weak window light from sunrise to sunset.

Don't use black light/uv (yes blacklight contains uv rays) unless for very short periods just to find where they are for example. I personally feel they should be kept dark at night, and just use a flashlight for observing for limited time.

I'm wondering if humans will ever get a grip. UV, and some inftared, is POISON. Not an exaggeration. Without the atmosphere dimming it down the earth would get poisoned and sterilized. Yes, poison, as in: a substance (or energy) that through its chemical action usually kills, injures, or impairs an organism.
THINK OF THE POODLE IN A MICROWAVE.

If this keeps up I'm going to cop @viper69 's attitude.
