K guys this is the format of this thread i wan't

-how old it is from what month to now
-how many molts it has had
-how big it is
-post some pics

We got her from another person so I assume she is around 5 yrs old.
With us she has only been through 1 molt
She is 6"
We did have pics of her but lost them. She won't let you take a pic of her anyways she stays in the pot 98% of the time. She is mean and I wouldn't suggest a Usambra Babboon to a beginner hobbyist.

My Usumbaras

I got my Usumbara's about three months ago! They range from about 2"-3 1/4" I haven't seen any molts yet and I can't take any pics because our dog ate the patch cable so I can not download them.

I've got some that were hatched by my big female. I separated the spiderlings right after Christmas. Here is the history:

Eggs laid by female: 10/13/02
Spiderlings emerged: 12/01/02 - 1st instar (approx .5 inch)
Spiderlings seperated: 12/27/02 - 2nd instar (approx. .75 inch)
3rd instar molt 02/15/03 - (approx. 1 inch)
4th instar molt 03/22/03 - (approx. 1.25 inch)
5th instar molt 04/30/03 - (approx. 1.5 inch)
6th instar molt 06/06/03 - (approx. 2 inch)

The 3rd through 6th instart molts are for an individual spiderling, the rest of the them are similar with the last of the bunch molting out to 6th instar today.
They are fiesty tarantulas and will readily take full grown (1 inch) crickets.
I'll try and borrow the digital camera from work and post some pics later.

My P. murinus is a female. I got her as a .75" sling in april of 2000. She molted approx. once a month, but as she became closer to maturity, she molted every two to three months. Her last molt was six months after the molt before,and it has been nine months since. She matured after her last molt which was september 2002, and she now has a 5"+ legspan

logging wasnt started until 11/02, after 2 spiderlings had died from the mystery mold. two others survived, molting out so the mold didnt kill them.
