I don't think my uro is eating but he's maintaining a good healthy weight. I don't think he's eating because I'm not finding his feces in the cage when I spot clean. He is Uro aegypticus and only about 8 inches long.

He's in a 20Long tank and the basking temp is around 100F. The ambient doesn't drop below 80F day or night. I'm offering collard greens, seed, and millet. The seed seems to be disappearing but I can't tell if he's just spreading it around the cage or I just can't find his feces. He hasn't touched the collard greens. The humidity isn't too high either. I'm worried about him. My iguana is still eating but has less of an appetite now that it's winter. (Though even his temps stay up for basking) Do uros go through a dormant state? He still comes out and basks and has a lot of energy.

What are you using for substrate? It's always possible he's in the very early stages of impaction--enough to not be pooping, but not far gone enough to be showing other signs of distress?

I would say that the basking temp is WAAAYYYYYYYYY too low !!!!
I would bump it up to AT LEAST 120 -125F MINIMUM, I had mine up to 135F and they used to sleep under it. Also the NTL should be down to the high 60's to low 70's

The best Uromastyx site out there ...... http://www.kingsnake.com/uromastyx/

I agree with peteruk. Get the basking temp up higher. They need it really warm. Mine is at 125F at the hottest spot. I build a ramp under it so they can move up and down as needed. Then I turn it off at night an temp drops down to 72F.
