Hi all, I was given a small RED uromastyx.Thats what she called it anyway. I have been searching but cant seem to find any info on species, care instructionsor much of anything that I feel confident about. Can anyone help me,please?? Thanks, Blane

When i started keeping Uromastyx i used google to find caresheets, in two seconds i found approxemately 40 pages with caresheets, here are some of the best:

Yea, the same guy that gave me the red uromastyx has also given me 2 "YELLOW" uromastyx. They are all three about 3.5inches long. Its not reall important that I know what species they are ,but I would like to anyway. I dont have a camera now so I cant post pics. They are pretty much brown except the red one has red spots on his body and the yellow ones have yellow spots on them. If anyone knows what they are I wold really appreciate some info!!!

You might want to search for Niger or Saharan Uromastyx (Uromastyx geyri). They have a yellow and a red phase and they are popular enough that it could be them.

Atleast he didnt give you some WC imported morrocan adults, They may still be WC even though there small and it might not be a bad idea to have a vet do a fecal on them just to make sure they're not lugging around abunch of buddies.
