I am new here. I have searched all over the internet but can't find the answer I am looking for. I have two Asian Forest Scorpions, both female. One is smaller than the other. But the largest one has been having some "Grey-ish" liquid around her mouth area. I have never seen my smaller scorpion with that. But the larger one has had this twice now. The first time it got dry and it seemed to seal her mouth shut. I used a Q-Tip and water to remove the gunk from her mouth and it seemed to make her happy and comfortable. It has now happened again. I am not sure if this is throw-up or if she is eating something that causes this. I need help. I just want to make sure she is not sick and how to prevent this from happening again, or happening to my other scorpion.

I wish i could help but i don’t own these yet. I hope for you it could just be regurgitation fluids. Thats going to happen. With tarantulas it happens all the time and sends new and old keepers is a rush of anxiety. The fear of nematodes is real.

pictures would help us all gain knowledge on this.

Curious... are there other inverts / prey in the enclosure, what feeders are being introduced? etc.

No, they both have their own enclosures.

She gets super impatient when she has this so it's a bit hard to get a picture, but next time I will try.

Just do it. At this point its important. Get your things under control and take pics. Make it happen.

Pictures are a must for things like this. It's hard to say any info when a visual isn't shown. Words can only describe so much but there's a lot of experienced keepers here who need visuals. Get the scorpion out in a clear well light container and get clean and visible shots of the front of it's body. No flash.
