Hello all, I am from the scorpion forum and I have been pondering this question for a long time and have yet to put my thoughts together and search... I am from the east coast, New England specifically... is there any spiders of interest in this area? I have seen some nice ones over the years coincidently around the house and such but I never had any information about them and never actually went looking for spiders... but this comming spring I would like to and I'm just a little clueless lol, as I said scorpions are my first choice, any help would be appriciated :)

I have seen a ton of different salticids in New England. Those little guys are probably the most interesting things we get as far as arachnids go.

We have a lot of different spiders here. Not much that you couldn't find elsewhere in the U.S., but we do have a large number of families. If you are looking for large we have decent size Pisaurids and Lycosids, and some really cool orbweavers in the genus Argiope that are pretty big. The diversity here isn't bad. In terms of other arachnids, I see a lot of psuedoscorpions which you might like....
