Here's some updated pyxie of Behemoth, my SA CB Pyxie. The pics didn't look quite as dark when I was previewing them on the camera, so I apologize for the darker look.

He's measuring right around 3 1/2" now. Still a little guy, but I've got some big hopes for him, and he pounded down a mouse about 3 hours before his photo shoot :D Hungry little booger!

Hope you like them...

I'll get some updated pics of Mammoth up soon as well.

He is so handsome!! :) What does his enclosure look like. You always have him in an empty kritter keeper. Just wondering if that is for pictures or if thats how you keep him for easier cleaning.

Well, thanks a bunch folks... :)

OldHag (man I feel weird writing that), he's actually housed in a 10 Gallon tank with a large water bowel and bout 3 inches of Coco-Fiber bedding. This little booger LOVES to burrow :D Haha, I take pictures in the critter keeper mainly because he's such a wild one! In a confined area he seems to be more inclined to remain calm, as opposed to going crazy if I were to take his pics out in the open... He's quite the rascal!

Mina - The male Pyxies can usually reach lengths of about 9" or so. Some have been reported upwards of about 11". While the females are only about half that size, usually maxing at not even 5". Pretty weird that the males tend to get larger with this frog species as opposed to almost every other one haha. He's a cute little dude thats for sure... Soon though, that'll change haha!

He is so chubby and adorable! I wish they were cuddly.... cause I'd cuddle with him. Lol. And that's saying something for me, cause I'm not really a frog person, but that one is just way too cute :)

Your Behemoth reminds me a lot of my Lurch. So I thought Id throw in a pic of him. Does Behemoth croak at night? Mine will croak twice everynight.. usually about 2am.

Lurch is an AWESOME looking pyxie! So far, Behemoth hasn't vocalized at all, I've got two males and Mammoth croaks pretty regularily as well. Behemoth could be a few of the croaks I hear, but I'm not thinking so. GREAT looking frog again!

Good looking frog, my friend. I'm going to have to talk to Ed and snag a SA myself pretty soon.

I think they are easier actually! My pixie is so fickle and wont eat sometimes and buries itself and is a pain in the butt to find to feed.
My pixie is ALWAYS out, ALWAYS hungry and funny as heck! He will hop after you in his cage as you walk by.. like hes saying "hey hey hey oo oo hey feed me!! O O O O me me hey hey food!!"

They are a lot more fun than pacmans that's for sure. Pacmans are cool too but pixies are nuts when it comes to feeding time. Mine was jumping around his tank eating up all the crickets I put in there. It was pretty funny to watch.

Haha, well duuuh, I've only had like 7 :p
Always the smart ass :D. Looks like Ed's got some really nice looking SA males in with his latest batch as well. Some look like they could be some real monsters!

Oh my! I am not a fan of keeping "wet" animals, but having my very own Jaba The Hut would be kinda cool!

I'm not a fan of "wet" critters either, but terrestrial frogs are a little different. No messing about with filters and such stuff. Environmentally speaking, you just need some warmth, some moist substrate and decent humidity levels. I guess you could say that they are more like "damp" animals.
