yes, frowny face is right. lol.

I pulled the sack at 20 days, opened it up, and found a lot of eggs, but a few had turned black. The ones that were yellow had the milky color to them :( the pictures will tell the rest. The male was a loan with Ab user "weirdperson".

I will say though, the versi girl treated the sack very well, she's such a good mother! :)

Check it,

These Sing blue eggs dried out badly and looked much "chalkier" than yours..the nymphs hatched out but couldn't free themselves from the hard shells. I thought they were doomed but as they molted they cleared the eggs and have been perfect ever since!

You're still in the ball game man.

Dan, I've had eggs that look worse hatch....you are still good!
I was thinking the same thing. Just remove the black/bad eggs and incubate the rest.

I did best with a "Hammock style" incubator, a self contained tall deli cup. I never measured the humidity but it kept it relatively high. It's basically the same way I incubate every species so if you did well with A. avic. then you should be golden. Treat them the same way.

then..."Poof"

You wake up to a whisp of neon blue in the cup.

Excellent danny, i will try the hammock style. That's what i did with a couple sacs before, never thought it really mattered.

i guess it is better to use with species that need more humidity. or, at least it makes it easier to maintain humidity, i should say.

I'll try it and see what happens!
