Hi. I am completely new to the hobby. So i thought i'd start with jumping spiders.
They are cute. They don't trigger my fears. All good. Love them.
My first one was a Phidippus Regius "white bahamas" - She is in good shape. She does spiderly thingies. I love her.
( a little bit sassy, but hey, we all have our personalities! and sassy is funny! )

My second one was a Phidippus Regius "Everglades". I did the same as with the last one.
Warming lamp. Small terra, because she is DAMN tiny. FIRST all went good. She ate. She played.
Typical spiderling thingies.
. . .
4 days ago, she went to the floor and stood there. I was like.. okay? Fine by me? But then she started.. twitching.
She is laying on her belly, all feet up! Twitching. Since DAYS now!! I am scared. Is she hurt? Can i help her with... whatever?

species: pr everglades
instar: 4/5 (what a tiny tiny spiderling..)

Does ANYONE know what to do? I don't want her to suffer :( is she dying???? FOR DAYS??? or.. what is it?

Pics of the enclosure might help. Any decorations from outside? Did you handle her with your hands that maybe had something on them? Any wild caught feeders?

More info would help, but likely nothing can be done for the jumper except wait and see.

Hi.
Sorry, i have no pictures right now. But no.
All the stuff i put there was from a shop. Nothing infections. Nothing weird.
I bought the food from a spider shop also. No ideas, why it is like that...

Maybe she has a bad molt?

I thought about ending her pain.. Because i don't want her to suffer.
But i am scared to kill her, when she maybe can make it :(
But also i don't wanna be selfish. AAAH. I hate that situation..

If she is alert (responds to you in any way) and drinks if offered water, she may be ok yet. Without seeing her though, it's hard for me to say.
I really hope she pulls out of whatever funk she's in!

Sounds like the symptoms called DKS. Usually DKS is caused by dehydration, secondarily environmental toxins. If it can hydrate still, it may pass the toxins with time(or simply get hydrated if that's the issue). If it can't hydrate itself anymore, it's gone for either reason. A tiny drop on its mouth will let it drink if it can. I've had one last over a week but it was unable to drink and eventually curled up. Any plants that have been suspected to cause this for me have been purchased at a shop. Without taking every object in there and quarantining it with a roach or cricket to see if it dies, it's hard to narrow down what it could be, if it is a toxic object. Also a chance it's something else entirely, microbes, parasites, genetics, etc.

Or parasites, infectious organisms or fungi. Way too broad a spectrum to pinpoint. In any case, your suggestions are all that can be done.

Hi, I had a tarantula who died from DKS and he showed similar symptoms. the twitching got worse until he couldn’t catch his food or drink water bc he was always spazzing out
