Ok this may be a really stupid question but it's been plagueing me for awhile. Is there a possible way to unpack crickets that are shipped to you (i.e. 250-500 etc) without losing a whole bunch of them? Last time I unpacked them I just held the box over their container and shook it like crazy and lost about 30 or so. Anybody have any proven methods that are better than mine lol? Thanks for your time!

The key is to have a big enough holding container that the whole box fits down inside of it when you shake them out. No matter where they go, they're still in there!

My idea is : put the box in to the tank, open and wait while the crikets jumping from.

I usualy cut out one of the screens in the box. It makes a smaller hole and I can shake them out in just about anything.

I usually chill mine in the fridge for 10-15 minutes or so before unpacking. That slows them down substantially, and they're a lot easier to deal with.
