I found some weird roaches while scorpion hunting here a while back, I am not sure what spp they are maybe someone can help me get an ID. I live in Arizona. I found them in the dirt under a piece of wood they seem like burrowers.

roaches

These are a desert roach that is pretty rare to find. Golden Phoenix Exotics has tried to keep them before and has the name I believe.

Hey Thanks James, I thought I would never find out what they were.

Nice find :) Let us know what they are when you find out! Does it seem like they can climb/fly!?

I found out the spp they are... Eremoblatta subdiaphana and another pic can be found at the Golden Phoenix exotica website. The description says they are sexually dimorphic in that mature males develop wings, and they produce egg cases. also they seem to be a slower growing spp,. that are not easily found even in native range.

No I am trying to trade them to someone for scorpions, I already have three spp of non-climbers that I am trying to breed for feeders. I am more into scorpions and tarantulas.
