happens to FAT Ts regardless of subI rarely see this happening. I’ve changed the substrate already i noticed the spinnerets looked roughed up a bit too and discolored was some minor mold.
It was on 100% Eco earth. View attachment 458468 View attachment 458469
No that was a Costa Rican zebra Aphonopelma seemanni , oddly rug burn in same exact spot ! And the s cal also looks male but I kept it, the spider basically exchanged it for.Wait, didn't you return this specimen at one point or am I mis-remembering that?

oh yeah that thread.
Second one came that way it was never housed, I returned it for the s cal. We’re so you buy a good sifter I tried dollar tree accidentally bought a food strainer oops. Don’t know if it’s any good for sifting frass. Oddly enough the abrasive stuff must had been the 100% Eco earth plus being a tad overweight.Yo, two T's with the same abrasions? Time to run that substrate through a sifter my dude
Sorry for your loss, it always sucksUpdate unfortunately it stopped moving. And isn’t molting . I just filled the water dish 2 days ago . And wet substrate a week and a half ago but it dried out. View attachment 468438 View attachment 468439 View attachment 468440
