I am trying to figure out what i got here.

So far i think mealy bugs and plant hoppers. it was really messing me up cuz i started out thinking the mealy bugs were an immature form of the plant hoppers. heh.

so i guess the top pic is mealy bugs and the bottom pic is a plant hopper of some kind

neither seem particularly easy to keep as they are likely live plant vampires

yeah

i am hoping to figure out what kind. (though i haven't put up any diagnostic picas or anything, yes i know =P )

i should say, the mealy bug looking fellows are about oh... 2-3mm long. the little hopper looking dudes are maybe like 3-4mm long.

btw, the pics are sort of weird looking cuz i took them through a plastic magnifying glass. all the little dudes are too small to photo with my little <$100 nikon PAS

does the 2nd bug have those white feathery fluffy furry stuff at the rear end of the abdomen? that bug looks familiar. it does look like those fancy colored leaf hoppers.
