Well, while this site was down I had two molts. My B. vagans molted in the very early hours of friday morning (3am) and i got to watch the whole thing, AND got pics. :D (though they're kind of sloppy, cause of the time). And yesterday my A. sp. "flagstaff orange" sling, "Spazz", molted.

The B. vagans molt measured 3.5" Natural stance, I have not measured her yet, but I'd put her at 4" now. And, I was able to sex her by molt and she's 100% female :D :D I could not be happier. I've named her "Lola".

The A. sp. "flagstagg orange" I hadn't been expecting, I knew s/he was getting dark, but i really hadn't though s/he was all that dark yet, but when I was feeding everyone yesterday I saw him chillin' next to the molt. I was pretty surprised at how much s/he grew, I suspected to not notice a different since people seem to claim their Aphonopelmas shrink rather than grow with their molts {D.

I'll be getting pictures up shortly, my laptop is still out of commission so I'm waiting to use my dads which has an SD card reader. (my moms laptop does not)

I also rehoused my B. smithi "Marik" and transferring him, i pinch grabbed him, I looked on his ventral side and I'm like 95% sure he's male. :( I'd always assumed female, because I bought it from someone who bought it as female, they sold it to me unsexed though since it hadn't molted in their care to confirm. It saddens me, but I'll find him a date when he matures.

lol, I'm working on it {D

No, I didn't. But I can. I'm pretty sure though, not only does it have the dark circle, it's completely different from what my B. vagans ventral area looks like.

Ah, well then the name does fit after all, LOL.

BTW: As promised, I do have a couple of good ventral pics of my P. cambridgei for you. Haven't rehoused her yet, but she did come out for a pic.....then went bonkers on a plant root the second the flash went off (I got a video of that too). After thoroughly killing the object of her displeasure, she started relentlessly pacing the walls, so I took a couple of vent pics. I'll post them in my picture thread when I get the chance.

Congrats on the molts!

Sorry to hear Marik might actually be male :( But, with Brachys that isn't so bad is it?

lol, so it does. XD

wonderful! I'm believing more and more mines female, but it'd definately be nice to see a picture for comparison. LOL, I'd certainly like to see that. :D I was doing cage maintence the other day, and s/he was on the otherside of the jug, and she out of the blue, ran a lap, threw up a threat display and smacked the tweezers! The ran away and glared at me from the otherside of the enclosure.

Congrats on the molts!

thanks!

and its not so bad, it's still a little sad, he was my first T.

Great molting shots! She is gorgeous!
Aww, Spazz is such a little cutie!

Don't you love putting work into an enclosure.. only to have them neglect the most time consuming parts, or completely redo EVERYTHING? lol

Great pics!!!! Your vagans is gorgeous!!!!!

Marik's enclosure is nice....he certainly looks a bit agitated about being dumped in fresh digs, but I'm sure he will love it when he calms down.

BTW: your ventral pics are posted.
