Hello again everyone. It looks like I have two female jumpers with egg sacs. I have had both girls for more than two weeks. The first is my tan jumper. I wasn't expecting her to be gravid, but after I put cork bark in her enclosure, she started making a nest near it and now looks like she has a sac. The other is my audax female. I was kind of expecting her to be gravid since she had a good sized abdomen when I caught her, but was still caught a little by surprise since I've had her for a while. Both were wild caught from my yard. I know I'm going to have to find a way to screen in the top of my critter keeper to keep the babies from escaping. Also, I noticed the audax has her sac near where the top and bottom of the keeper connect together. Any advice on how to handle that when the babies emerge? My camera did not want to focus at all for the pics, but hopefully, there's enough contrast to tell the sac from the spider and where it's located in the critter keeper. My tan jumper's sac is made about halfway down her enclosure just under the top edge of the cork bark. I don't or shouldn't have to worry about the babies escaping when the time comes. The first pics are my tan jumper female and the second is my audax female with their sacs. This is my first time with spider babies so any and all advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.
