Terrestrial or aquatic? Here's a set up I use to breed spotted turtles:

Yes, it's a rubbermaid stock tank. Best thing going for turtles!

The turtles dont demolish your anubias? I know that they are a fantasticly strong plant. Use them in lots of fish tanks. But I would imagine that even they wouldnt be able to withstand turtles walking all over them all the time. I know nothing eats them... but imagine that there would be plenty of fott traffic.

Wade,

Any luck breeding them yet? I'd love to see some spotted baby pictures.

Deliverme314- Anubias? Is that what I have growing in there? Whatever it is, it grows like crazy in a damp environment. I have to prune frequently and I use the cuttings in other terrariums. Spotted turtles are small (4-5") and easier on plants than most species. I tried once to grow some carniverous plants in there (it's pretty much a bog) but I was unsuccessful.

GQ- I have so far successfully hatched out 3 clutches of spotted turtle eggs (the average clutch is 2). Two of those hatched within the enclosure from eggs I didn't even know were there! Finding little baby turtles walking around was a nice surprise. I still have the first babies, but they're about three years old now and not really babies anymore. I've already given the others away (we're not allowed to sell any native species in VA), but I've got two perfect-looking eggs in the incubator now, so if they hatch, I'll post pics.

From that pic I would say anubias var barteri but if you are saying it is growing really fast than i would doubt that it is. Can I see a pic of the rhizome? Is it growing "attached" to anything? Anubias is great for growing attached to wood or rocks. I use it in several of my fish tanks. As long as the rhizome is in water it can grow with emersed leaves and be fine. Does it ever get little white sorta flowers?

I think mine must be something else, the plants I use are common house plants. In that tank I had syngonium (I think), pothos and a couple of others that I forget.
