I have a diamondback terrapin who seems to not like climbing up on her basking areas unless i pick her up and set her there. She even has recurring shell rot issues because of it. Usually once i set her on one of her platforms shes fine and will stay there in the sun but i rarely rarely ever see her up there because she climbed out. She has basking area options and ive tried out different types of platforms and even am making another one for her right now. She has a good sized pond (170 ish gallons fresh) outside with a huge log, and a tile platform both of which get plenty of time in and out of the sun. Inside she has a tub about 40 gallons with a floating dock attached to the side and another tile platform, this one i’m turning into a brackish blackwater setup. She isn’t sickish or sluggish at all and never really has been except for winter if shes outside and always has an appetite and tons of personality and is always curious investigating things in her pond or if i change something or move things around etc. Her only issue ever since i got her has been b a s k i n g. For weather reference i live in southern california
