I was gonna say . . .
An Alaskan talking bad about fishing . . . :?

Those birds have the ultimate "fishfinder"!
I only wish I had 1/2 the fishing skill they have . . .

I love fishing, above everything else . . . yes, even frogs and Ts

Cool pics.

Did that make anyone else hungry?

Trout are definitely the world's best-tasting fish.

whoh have you tried alaskan halibut , or smoked red salmon? yummm
Most salmon (that I've had in restaurants) is either too fishy or too dry. My mom makes the best salmon steaks I have ever tasted. It's almost as good as some of the trout I've had. :}

I don't recall trying halibut or smoked salmon though. I'll have to give 'em a shot.

Halibut is one of the best.
Nice firm white meat, not too much fishy taste f fresh . . .
Biggest I ever got was a 37lber outta Half Moon Bay.

Caught some decent ones in SF Bay, but I dont eat those ones.

Im a trout fisherman tho . . .
Nothing better than catching 15lb Macks, or stalking beautiful native rainbows.
I know a great spot for some big browns too.

Nothing like Alaska tho, my buddies wanna go on long-range tuna again, but Im gonna push for Alaska.
Where else can you stand on the shore of a river, and catch 50+lb salmon and trout?
And the Lingcods, ohhhhh the Lingcods . . .
A must-do before I die!

The best way to cook a whole salmon is to smear it in mayo and your favorite seasonings(I use garlic powder and lotsa pepper) , then wrap it in foil so its pretty well sealed.
Then put it in the top rack of your DISHWASHER, and set it to heavy wash . . .
Smoked salmon is the food of the gods, especially kipperred.

Ps, lemon takes the fishyness away.
