unsuccessful :(
it didnt help she was a monster and he was a normal sized adult.
probably a HUGE mistake and i'll get scolded, but i tried it, he did his thing, and she went ape<edit> and attacked him, and it looked nothing like the videos ive seen online... as in he ran the <edit> away and she came for more

luckily, his female cagemate, an immature female, looks creamy... so she may molt soon, and im lucky THEY get along.

edit: im very sad. i like him, and i only bought the huge female, because, well, she was healthy even in a pet store, and looked semi gravid. she isnt.

Maybe she just isn't in the right mood. Get some candle light next time. {D

But in all seriousness I don't know why you'd think you're to blame (or the female is either to make it clear).

Why have you given up on her being gravid? How long have you had her? Something you could try with a territorial female (that's not gravid) is to take her out of her terr and put a male there. Then, maybe the next day, put the female back in her cage with the male. She may not try to attack the male and you may see some mating, just something to try if it sounds good to you. That's assuming they are adult, temps and other conditions are good there in your terr.

she was fat when i got her
then she thinned out when i fasted her for 3 days
she gets kinda fat when she eats alot, and SHE EATS ALOT. i could feed her 6 crix and week and she'd gobble them all. thing is, she attacked him, hard. i mean hard, it was painful to watch and i kept separating them, and trying again. nope. both adults, temps and humidity are fine.

because it was a dumb move to put a normal sized male with a monster sized female, literally, her clawspan was at least an inch wider
