Trapdoor

Hi all,

Wondering what this was... a trapdoor supposedly from Malaysia...
Nice coloration reddish legs black body (about 1-1.5'')
The only thing I could find was Liphistius sp.
Any clues?

My guess is a Gorgyrella sp., but thats affrican. :?

It looks kinda like your spider, only the abdomen looks different.

Looks to different to be the same kind of spider.

Whoops, yeah Just looked again, it does look alot different, infact the colors on the his spider are reverse of the one on the site, sorry my bad.

Do you guys think it's African? Or was I cheated? (Well, on it being Malaysian, not it being a beautiful spider... ) Personally I think this might be a youngster... it being so small. So it could change color somewhat, although the L. desultor is probably very unlikely...

african tricolors only get to be about 3'' i think? I dont have much doubt about what it is. I'm almost positive its a tri-color
