I had noticed last night that my Red African Trap door was out of his burrow last night. I thought it was kind of odd, because I never see him out unless it is dark. Well, i should have been more concerned, because i awoke this morning and checked over all 45 of my babies. Well, he was still outside. Upon further inspection, I found him in a death curl.
I am at a loss as to what reason he has died.

You say the spider was a he. Are you sure of the sex or just saying it was a male? If it was a male it could have been mature and died because it was his time.

I am not sure of the sex. I have almost no knowledge on trapdoors. I had not noticed "wandering" like I have seen with many of my MM T's. I am going to keep it in the freezer for now. I will then preserve it.

I have removed the container he was in from my spider room. I think I may just toss the whole thing out.
