Tokay!
Just got some decent pics of the new addition to our family.

My first reptile ever; a Tokay gecko. He's about 6'' and relatively docile compared to other Tokay's I've seen. At first, I was turned off by how defensive the others were, but this guy has a good temperament, and has actually already shown a lot of personality. My girlfriend was actually the one that saw him and wanted to get him, and I'm glad she did. We are looking for a female as well. Anyways, here's our new baby. These pics don't do him justice.....his colors are stunning when viewed in person.

Wow, he's a handsome little guy! My parents told me they would often see those geckos in thte Phillipines, and they would see them climbing on the ceiling and walls at night and hear them vocalize lol! Has he vocalized for you yet?

He got really vocal at the store when we were transfering him to the tub i took him home in. That was just him being aggitated though. Then one other time he interrupted a nap (He's in our bedroom). I think once he gets settled into his home a bit more he will start to call more.

I used to have one as well, they're awesome.

Mine was also showing a great attitude at first, no biting....then it happened...

Don't let the aggression get to ya! They are one of the coolest reptiles ever! I regret ever selling mine. But hey, he scared the bajeepers out of me, and I was a kid so I had a reason. Enjoy your new addition!
