Today's catch

Flipped two rocks, found two tarantulas. The "burrows" (they were not actual burrows; just silken retreats under rocks) were right next to each other. Care to guess what she is?

I'm sure I sound utterly and incredibly ignorant here, but is it just me or does the Southeast Asian genus Phlogiellus have an eye arrangement identical to that of the predominantly Aussie genera Phlogius and Selenocosmia? What features set them apart, besides size?

Def appears to be a Selenocosmoninae.

Does P. baeri occur in Singapore? I've always thought the only Phlogiellus present here was P. inermis.

That's really cool that you can just flip over some rocks and find T's. Jealous!

Well, yeah, but I wish I could buy just about any tarantula (or any average exotic pet, for that matter) I wanted. I can't.
